WPC Future Leaders Forum 2016

In 2016, from 24 to 27 October, IBP – Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas & Biofuels Institute brought to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the fifth edition of the largest gathering of young professionals in the petroleum industry. Under the motto “Game changers: new leaders for a new competitive energy industry”, the 2016 edition of the event, created by the World Petroleum Council (WPC), had as pillars of discussion topics such as industry sustainability, business leadership and technology & innovation.

FLF is a global and collaborative event.
To organize this 5th edition here in Brazil, young professionals from all around the globe did a lot of research, organized a lot of focus groups, discussions and meetings.

Leonardo Junqueira has more than 10 years’ experience in Finance leading positions. His experience includes a position as CFO/Deputy CFO during an IPO and a Private Placement processes, including responsibilities related to investor relations and post-implementation. He also occupied the role of Financial Controller of a 1,5 Billion $ Canadian project (funded through two projects finance) reporting directly to local general manager, and a temporary position in Repsol Headquarters (Spain) with the role as CFO Americas (LAM and T&T) from December 2015 to March 2016.
He is a civil engineer graduated at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, has a Master in Finance Derivatives and Capital Markets (Pontificia Universidade Católica – IAG/PUC RJ – Brazil) and an MBA in “Economía y gestión de las empresas de energía” (IESE, Universidad de Navarra, Instituto Superior de la Energía – Madrid/Spain).
Since April 2016 he occupies the role of CEO Brazil for Repsol Sinopec.

Daniel Moczydlower holds a Magna cum Laude degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a Masters of Modeling, Simulation, and Process Control from COPPE/UFRJ. He has been a member of the Consulting Board of PMI/Rio de Janeiro since 2010 and serves as Chairman of the Consulting Board since 2016.

He began his career as a Process Engineer at Chemtech, where he successively held various management positions until he became CEO, in 2010. He worked with clients such as Petrobras and Vale in Brazil, and ExxonMobil in Asia and the Americas. Daniel joined Embraer in 2013 as President and CEO of the new Embraer Systems Business Unit, with the mission of structuring the business in line with the diversification and growth strategy of Embraer. Daniel is also a Board Member at Atech - a 100% owned Embraer Company focused on The development and operation of mission critical Systems such as The Brazilian air traffic Management (ATM) system.

He holds Bachelor and Master’s Degrees in Physics from Groningen University and a PhD in Physics and Mathematical Sciences from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
As from early 2016, he started leading the Shell-BG Transition efforts in Rio, where he will also take up his role as GM for Libra and Iara later in the year.
Over the past 24 years, Marco worked in a slate of Reservoir Engineering, Technical Management, Project Management, New Business Development and Strategy and Planning roles in Shell’s Upstream and Gas and Power businesses in The Netherlands, Venezuela, Argentina, Russia, Brasil and Canada.
Marco is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and a Chartered Engineer with the Institute for Mining and Metallurgy in the UK. In his spare time he loves running and going to the movies and has a passion for the latest and greatest in Roller coasters.

Maxime has Degree and Master´s Degree in law, from Aix en Provence University Law School. He started his career in Brazil in the 1990s. Maxime joined Total in 1999, where worked in several legal advisor positions in M&A for Downstream and Upstream to the Total Group, based in Paris, Mexico and Bolivia. From 2005 to 2008, he served as Senior legal Advisor Middle-East, responsible for the management and legal structuring and negotiation of upstream projects and midstream (LNG) in the Middle East, particularly Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
Between 2008 and 2012, he was responsible for all legal, risk management and compliance of Total's operations in Angola. In 2012, he was appointed Project Director of Total E&P New Ventures, in charge of the leadership of acquisition projects and divestment of upstream assets with focused operations in Brazil, United States and Middle East. In March 2015, he returned to Brazil in the position of President of Total E&P of Brazil and Total´s Country Group Representative.
