Andy Brown was appointed to the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell in April 2012. He is responsible for Shell’s global Upstream business, which includes the exploration and production of oil and gas from conventional, shale and deep-water sources.
Andy joined Shell after completing his degree in Engineering Science at Cambridge University. Between 1984 and 2000, he worked in New Zealand, the Netherlands, Italy, Brunei and Oman in engineering and project management roles.
In 2000, Andy was Senior Advisor for the Middle East and Former Soviet Union to the Vice Chairman of Shell before becoming Private Assistant to the Chairman of Shell in 2001. From 2002 to 2012, he led the successful delivery of the $18 billion pioneering Pearl GTL gas-to-liquids project as Managing Director and Country Chairman. In 2009, he was additionally appointed Executive Vice President Qatar with responsibility for all of Shell’s upstream business in Qatar including the Qatargas 4 LNG project. From 2012 to 2015 Andy was Upstream International Director, responsible for the global upstream and integrated gas businesses excluding the Americas.
Andy was awarded an OBE in the 2012 New Year’s Honours List for his services to British-Qatari business relations. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a Trustee of the Shell Foundation.

Responsible for the Schlumberger Research, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology Lifecycle Management, Software Technology, and Information Technology. Since 2013, he has also led the Marketing, Sales and Account Management functions for Schlumberger. Belani studied electrical engineering in India and holds a graduate degree in petroleum engineering from Stanford University.

José Formigli worked for 32 years as petroleum engineer in Petrobras Exploration & Production area, having been responsible for Pre-salt projects implementation, as well as E&P Managing Director till beginning of 2015, when retired from Petrobras. Since then he works as consultant through his own company Forsea Engenharia.

Flávio Rodrigues is the Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Director in Shell Brasil Petróleo. He has been working for Shell for the last 23 years. He holds a Mathematics degree from University of Central Unified School Brasilia, and a Master of Business Administration degree, from Dom Cabral Foundation.
Flávio has a vast experience in External Relations Roles, developing a strong networking and leadership skills. He has also experience on the supply chain, strategy and distribution. He has been acting as a member of several professional organizations, and is currently IBP Director as well as coordinator of the External Affairs Committee of the Petroleum Industry Association.

He manages IBM’s global portfolio of clients across all these industries and is also responsible for the design, development and delivery of industry specific solutions that are based on advanced research & development concepts and integrate IBM’s hardware, software and service capabilities. A strong believer in collaboration as the path to innovation, Brantley has reached out to business partners and clients alike to design and develop the next evolution of industry specific solutions that address these industry’s most challenging issues including profitable exploration, integrated operations, asset management and production design and scheduling. The last two years, he has been living and working from Shanghai, China. He received his BA in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.
