Rio Pipeline Conference & Exhibition has changed its branding design, to unify the whole pipeline community, in an even more complete event. Foi diretor de Abastecimento de fevereiro de 2015 a março de 2016.
Ingressou na Petrobras em 1983 e, entre as funções que já desempenhou na companhia estão a de gerente de Comercialização da Refinaria Isaac Sabbá (Reman), de 1996 a 1999. Nesse mesmo ano assumiu a Gerência Executiva de Operações da Petrobras Distribuidora, permanecendo até 2002. Em seguida, foi nomeado gerente executivo Industrial da Fábrica de Lubrificantes da Petrobras Distribuidora, onde ficou até 2003.
Ocupou mais duas funções na Petrobras Distribuidora: gerente da Regional Consumidor Leste, de 2003 a 2005, e gerente de Marketing de Indústria e Térmica, de 2005 a 2007.
Ainda em 2007, retornou à função de gerente executivo de Operações da subsidiária, permanecendo até 2014, quando, com a grande experiência adquirida em gestão industrial, marketing e operações, retornou ao Abastecimento, assumindo a Gerência Executiva de Logística.
Formado em Engenharia Química pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Uerj) e em Engenharia de Processamento de Petróleo pelo Centro de Especialização em Engenharia de Produção (Cenpro), da Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), com especialização em Tecnologia de Produção de Álcool pela Coppe/UFRJ e MBA em Administração e em Marketing.

Mr. Hogan has served in materials development, engineering, and project management roles with Oil States Industries, Inc. over the past 33 years. He is currently responsible for project execution for all Oil States product divisions. Mr. Hogan is a graduate of the Texas A&M University and the University of Texas at Arlington, holding degrees in mechanical engineering, welding metallurgy, and business management. Mr. Hogan is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, U. S.

Darron Phillips – Mr. Phillips has served various engineering, project, and testing management roles with Oil States Industries, Inc. over the past 25 years. He is currently Senior Project Manager, and managed the flexible joint products deliveries for two pre-Salt rigid riser projects. Mr. Phillips is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and of the University of Dallas, holding degrees in mechanical engineering and business management. Mr. Phillips is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, U. S.

Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI)

Cliff Johnson joined Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) in September 2010 as President. He has overseen the creation of the new PRCI Technology Development Center (TDC) in Houston, Texas, which opened in 2015. The TDC will be a cornerstone for PRCI research and deployment for key solutions for the pipeline industry. As President, he has been able to grow PRCI membership by 20%. Today PRCI represents over 60% of the world’s transmission pipeline mileage.

Prior to joining to PRCI, Mr. Johnson spent 13 years at NACE International, where he has held a variety of positions during his career. His most recent position was as NACE’s Director of Public Affairs where he led NACE’s legislative initiatives.

Mr. Johnson earned his Master of Public Affairs from the Lyndon Baines Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. He has obtained his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation and is active in the America Society of Association Executives.

He currently lives with his wife, Courtney, and 5 children (Emma, Oleg, Vivian, Lena, and Hana) in Centreville, Va.

Julio Guerrero

Dr. Guerrero is a mechanical engineer who assists and guides corporations globally with their technology development needs. Dr. Guerrero has worked in research and development (R&D) and business development for several years in diverse companies such as Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, MA; Schlumberger Research (SLB) in Houston, TX and Cambridge, MA; and FIAT-IVECO in Torino Italy. Dr. Guerrero's technical expertise includes analyzing, designing, and developing mechanical systems, including those for harsh and extreme conditions. He has extensive experience with the energy and oil and gas industries and is an owner of over 20 mechanical system patents worldwide. Dr. Guerrero earned his master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and was awarded the Honorary Doctoral degree from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima-Peru in 2015. In 2014, he became a member of the Pan-American Academy of Engineering (32 countries). He was the 2015-2016 President of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), an organization of almost 140,000 engineers in 150 countries.

Since 2003, Dr. Guerrero has collaborated with MIT professors, graduate students, and WHOI researchers and lectured in engineering at MIT. He developed applications for Draper Laboratory’s technological capabilities and assets in the energy industry, including oil and gas exploration and the nuclear industry. Dr. Guerrero served as a principal research scientist at SLB, where he helped develop robots to convey equipment in horizontal oil and gas wells. He also established numerous research collaborations with professors and students from universities and research centers around the world and led the 2,400-member SLB/Eureka Mechanical Engineering Community in 3 continents and all SLB engineering centers for 5 years.

He is fluent in several languages, and loves skiing and swimming, history, economics, and Renaissance Italian art.

During Rio Pipeline 2017, you can spotlight a project running for two different awards: Calgary Award and Global Pipeline Award. Those technical papers achieving Honorable Mention in the event will also run for Plínio Cantanhede, an IBP Award to be granted in Rio Oil & Gas 2018.

Students from all over the country had a great opportunity to invest in a career in the oil and gas industry! The Youth Professional Program is held annually alongside national and international events of the market. Through debates with specialists in the oil and human resources areas, headhunters and youth professionals, the students were be able to interact with speakers, share experiences and collect valuable tips.
