Jane Zhang is General Manager Shell Technology Brazil. She oversees Shell Technology’s operational footprint and program portfolio in Brazil covering Wells, Subsea/Topsides, Carbonate IOR, Geoscience, Integrated Gas, and New Energies. Jane joined Shell in 1991 as mechanical engineer. She spent her early career in downstream including research, engineering, and operations and maintenance assignments at the refinery and chemical plants. Jane subsequently took on a range of assignments in upstream Deepwater and Unconventional covering technical and leadership roles in engineering, front-end development, project delivery, and technology. In 2010, she assumed the role of General Manager for Deepwater Technology. In 2017, Jane assumed the current position. Jane holds a BS in Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Cornell University in the US.
