ROG.e 2024, one of the world’s leading events in the energy sector, brings together more than 550 exhibiting companies this year, 230 of them in the Main Warehouse alone, where the Etnias wall is located. Of these, around 70 are IBP member companies. The booths, spread over 6 warehouses, reflect the trends and challenges of the energy transition, technology and sustainability in the sector.

In a fully interactive environment, visitors can learn about new projects, take part in presentations and establish strategic partnerships. The space is not just a technological showcase, but a meeting point for knowledge exchange and discussions about the future of the sector.

One of the highlights that generated a buzz in the hallways is a robot from China’s Supcon. The company, a partner of Huawei, has only been in Brazil for two weeks and made its debut at this edition of the event. It brought a dog-shaped model that allows supervision of an industrial unit, identifying leaks and abnormal problems that are occurring.

In addition, the company is launching the Universal Control System Heading to Infinite Control, a digital native DCS, integrating the operational level (OT) with information technology (IT), cloud and artificial intelligence applications. “Supcon’s participation at ROG.e is like the company’s debutante ball here in Brazil. The opportunity it gives us is to reach a very large target audience very quickly,” says João de Deus Fernandes, vice president of OTZ Engenharia, the company’s representative in Brazil.

Another newcomer to the exhibition is Dell. Although it is not new to the event, for the first time it has its own booth in partnership with Nvidia to showcase its artificial intelligence solutions for the energy, oil and gas sector. Having been in the Brazilian market for 25 years, the company, which has an artificial intelligence factory, brought platform mapping and the ability to deliver artificial intelligence cases, such as virtual training with AI glasses, making it possible to simulate situations on board.

Among the several initiatives that stand out in this edition, the launch of the book “A Wave of Women by Sea”, sponsored by BW Energy, is also one of the new features. The book is part of a cultural project supported by the Rouanet Act and brings to light the role of women and the female perspective on topics related to the sea. The publication – which is part of the “Decade of the Ocean” series, which addresses topics crucial to the sustainable future of the seas – offers a narrative about the importance of protecting and regenerating the oceans, highlighting the voices of professionals who have dedicated their careers to the cause.

ROG.e 2024 will be held until September 26, at the Olympic Boulevard in downtown Rio de Janeiro, and expects to welcome more than 70,000 people to its eight warehouses, which include a conference, expo and seven parallel events.
