Thermoelectric

Thermoelectric Plants are responsible for generating electricity by burning fossil fuels or biomass. The process involves converting thermal energy, generated by the combustion of materials such as coal, natural gas, oil or biomass, into electrical energy through steam or gas turbines. To ensure safety and compliance with the required standards, the Equipment Inspection Specific Service (SPIE) is responsible for the voluntary certification of the equipment used in these processes.

Every year, IBP’s Product Certification Body (OCP/IBP) carries out audits to check that the SPIE continues to meet its requirements and maintain the previously assessed level. These audits are essential to enable the thermoelectric industry to increase its energy production without compromising the high safety standards required to operate these resources..
