Renata Santana

Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Bahia (2002), Master in Geochemistry and Environment from the same University (2005), Occupational Safety Engineer (2011). He has been working for 11 years at the Bahia Natural Gas Company – Bahiagás, currently is a Technological Process Analyst at Bahia Natural Gas Company – Bahiagás, in Operation and Maintenance Management, working in the Asset Integrity area. Renata works with the Damage Prevention, Inspection and Integrity of Equipment and Bands Program and participates in the Asset Management Implementation of the Company.

João Paulo Gevásio

Electrical Engineer by CEFET-MG (2004), with postgraduate in Pipeline Engineering by PUC-RJ (2008) and master’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering by UFRJ (2018). Anticorrosive Protection Consultant with emphasis on Cathodic Protection at PETROBRAS, working since 2006 in the Onshore Pipeline Engineering sector. Main activities: project, technical assistance, teaching, research and development. Technical Coordinator of the Cathodic Protection Commission and the ABNT Special Committee on Electrical Interference Mitigation. NACE CP-3 (Cathodic Protection Technologist) Certification.

Douglas Alves

Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG (2006), postgraduate in Petroleum Process Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro – UERJ (2008) and in Risk Assessment and Management from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – COPPE / UFRJ (2009). Master in Chemical Engineering (with emphasis in Risk Assessment) obtained from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ (2013), followed by another Postgraduate Course in Pipeline Engineering with emphasis in Risk Assessment from the Newcastle University (the United Kingdom, 2014). He is currently studying for a doctorate at the Fluminense Federal University – UFF (Sustainable Management Systems – Pipeline Failure Databases).

He has worked in the Risk Assessment area as a Petrobras employee for 12 years, specifically with risk to the general public applied to oil and gas assets (including pipelines) until 2015 in the Engineering Department. Since then, Douglas has worked in the Corporate Risk Management Department as an operational risk specialist, mainly involved in Business Continuity and Pipeline Risk Management. Furthermore, he participates as a coordinator of the Pipeline Risk Community (a partnership between IBP, CCPS, ANP, Petrobras and Transpetro).

Raphael Moura

Is the ANP’s Exploration Superintendent, responsible for implementing the Agency’s regulatory strategy for oil and natural gas exploration activities in the country. He coordinates the supervision and control of the concession and production sharing agreements in the exploration phase, managing the whole portfolio of exploratory blocks in Brazil. He came to the ANP in 2005 and worked, up until 2013, on the conception of the regulatory framework for operational safety in the petroleum industry, on the preparation of technical regulations based on risk and on the definition of the regulatory strategy of the ANP for the supervision of E&P petroleum activities, taking the lead in setting up the Operational Safety and Environmental Oversight Office of the ANP. Before joining the ANP, he worked on various civil and military facility projects. Raphael holds a Ph.D. in Engineering (specializing in Risks, Uncertainties and Human Factors) from Liverpool University and a Masters’ degree in Risk Management from Cranfield University, both in the United Kingdom. He also holds an MBA in Project Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation-RJ and is a post-graduate in Offshore Systems (MSO), from UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He is a graduate in Production Engineering and technician in electrotechnology, from CEFET-RJ.

Daniel Ridelener

With a career spanning over 35 years, more than 25 of which were in the Oil & Gas industry, Daniel Ridelener is currently the CEO of Transportadora de Gas del Norte S.A. (TGN), one of the major gas transportation companies in Argentina.
He has previously held various technical, commercial and managerial positions in TGN and the Techint Organization.
He holds a Master of Science in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is an Industrial Engineering graduated from the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires.
He has been a speaker in conferences and seminars related to the development of the gas and energy market in Argentina and South America.

Carlos Alberto Palacios

Holds a B.Sc., an M.Sc. and a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa and Post-Doctoral work in the area of Erosion/Corrosion. NACE Fellow 2019 and NACE Chemical Treatment and Internal Corrosion Specialist. The author the book: Corrosion and Asset Integrity Management for Upstream Installations in the Oil/Gas Industry: The Journey of a Corrosion/Integrity Engineer – Real Life Experiences and more than 40 technical publications on internal corrosion on international conferences and referred journals. His 37 years of experience in the oil and gas industry worldwide have resulted in his becoming a subject matter expert on internal corrosion, erosion, chemical treatment, material selection, water treatment, oil treatment, and corrosion monitoring. Member of NACE Publications Committee. Actively participates in NACE technical committees; currently he is the vice-chair of NACE Wet Gas and Chair of NACE Multiphase ICDA. Member in NACE for 33 years and recipient of the 2013 NACE Distinguished Service Award.

Alexandre Seewald

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Master of Sciences in 2006 by the same institution. Pipeline Integrity Engineer, with 13 years of experience with pipelines. Alexandre works with crack management, including Stress Corrosion Cracking. He also works with corrosion defect analysis and pipeline repairs. Alexandre has a background in pipeline hydraulics, hydrostatic testing, location class and in-field assistance.
Alexandre works in Petrobras Transporte -Transpetro since 2006 where he has attended the Pipelines and Terminals Engineering preparatory training course. He has worked in the Operations and Maintenance division in Rio Grande do Sul and currently works in the Pipeline Integrity department in the company’s headquarters.

Sérgio Araújo

Sérgio Araújo was appointed as CEO of ABICOM, Brazilian Association of Fuel Importing Companies, in October 2017, bringing 32 years of experience in the internal (local) Petroleum Products market. He is a professional and effective agent in the subject Fuel Supply Chain in the country.

Sérgio commenced his career as a graduate chemical engineer with Dupont in 1978. In 1985, he joined Lubrizol and, since then, he progressed through a diverse range of roles including technical and managing functions as well as corporative leadership in different areas as: engineering, transport, supply, marketing, planning and importing, considering the Petroleum Fuel Market and Alternative Fuels.

He actuates as a consultant and invited speaker in different educational institutions and governamental agencies in the subject Petroleum Products Spply Chain.

At ABICOM, Sergio Araújo represents the companies that import petroleum fuels for the Brazilian Market in the discussions governamental and private agencies about the establishment and regulation of the activity in Brazil.

Cristina Pinho

Mechanical Engineer, from Rio de Janeiro Federal University.
MBA on Business and Financial in Columbia NY, Fundação Getúlio Vargas and CoppeAd.

I have served Petrobras for 31 years as an executive in the upstream Oil and Gas industry, in job positions in offshore production, subsea operations, and logistics and services contracts. I was also president of Petrobras Logistics.

Presently I am Subsecretary of Oil Gas and Energy of Rio de Janeiro State, and a certified member of the board by IBGC. I am also a deputy chair of IBP’s committee of gender diversity.

As Chair of ILPS, an NGO dedicated to environmental conservation, I work with universities inspiring young biologists, and I run a family-owned plant nursery trees for reforestation projects.
