The Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP) is receiving technical papers for its main events of 2019. Those interested in present researches, cases and projects at OTC Brasil, COTEQ, Rio Automação and Rio Pipeline should pay attention to the conference topics and the schedule to send papers. The authors are able to compete for prizes and honorable mentions, as Plínio Cantanhede Award, which will be awarded to the best work presented at an IBP event from July 2018 to June 2020. The final papers will be part of the IBP online library collection, with ISSN registration, and may be published in libraries of universities and partner companies, in addition to indexed journals.
The 2019 edition of Rio Pipeline motto is Connecting energy with people and brings a differentiate idea to humanize de pipeline industry, promoting the segment and build a natural conversation with the society. The purpose is to create a trusty relationship and promote the protection of these facilities, highlighting the benefits of this important type of transport for the countries development. To do so, the discussions will approach themes such as improving efficiency, quality and safety, promoting the exchange of experiences and the dissemination of good practices of the activity.
The event will happen from September 3 to 5, at Centro de Convenções SulAmérica, in Rio de Janeiro. The technical papers can be send until February 22th and will compete for the Calgary Award, assigned to the best Rio Pipeline technical contribution, with participation at International Pipeline Conference, organized by ASME, at Canada, through financial support from IBP.
Besides that, the final projects presented will claim honorable mentions and will be indexed in SCOPUS, he largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. The platform covers about 19.500 titles from over 5,000 international publishers, including coverage of 16,500 peer-reviewed journals in the scientific, technical, and medical and social sciences fields.

Parallel to COTEQ, the 10th edition of Rio Automação Conference, will discuss how the instrumentation and automation can help to increase the competitiveness at O&G sector in a digital transformation scenario. The technical papers should be sending for evaluation of the Technical Committee of the event until February 22. The candidates have the opportunity to share knowledge and practices that will directly booster the day-to-day efficiency of the industry.
The technical papers must contain a relevant technical contribution and must be interest to the industry and shall not contain any type of commercial material. Professional and students have until March 12 to submit their technical papers to OTC Brasil, the most important offshore conference in Brazil. Organized by the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP), the event will be held in October 29-31, at Centro de Convenções SulAmérica, in Rio de Janeiro.
Among the discussed topics are environmental licensing for offshore projects, perspectives of oil price scenarios and what they mean for the country.
The technical papers will be presented at the conference and included in the multi-society library, OnePetro®. In 2017, the congress selected 150 technical papers from 19 countries, which 110 were from Brazil alone.
