Pipeline transportation

Pipeline transportation is the sector responsible for transporting fluids such as oil, natural gas, chemicals, water and other liquids through pipelines. This type of transport is used to move large volumes of fluids efficiently, safely and continuously, especially over long distances, between production sites and distribution or processing centers. To ensure safety and compliance with the required standards, the Equipment Inspection Specific Service (SPIE) is responsible for the voluntary certification of the equipment used in this process, including terminals and intermediate facilities.

Every year, IBP’s Product Certification Body (OCP/IBP) carries out audits to check that the SPIE is keeping the previously assessed level and ensures that all safety and quality requirements are met. These SPIE audits are essential to enable the pipeline transportation industry a more efficient production without compromising the high safety standards required to operate these resources.

The following SPIEs are currently certified:

  • NTS
  • TRANSPETRO NE MERIDIONAL
  • TRANSPETRO NE SETENTRIONAL
  • TRANSPETRO NORTE
  • TRANSPETRO SP LITORAL
  • TRANSPETRO SPPCO
  • TRANSPETRO SUDESTE I
